Hi,
My name is Jami Hammons. I Live in Jal, NM and have been a close family friend of mark and his family for about 22 years.
As some of you already know and some are just finding out, last Thursday, August 15, Shawnda received a call that Mark was having a medical issue and to get to him ASAP. He was taken to Midland Memorial where it was determined that he needed to be transported to Baylor in Ft. Worth to have emergency surgery on a ruptured aortic aneurysm. He has been in CVICU since. Shawnda and many family members have not left his side.
Shawnda is self-employed and will be receiving no pay for the duration of Marks stay in the hospital which is a minimum of six weeks. Expenses will continue back home regardless of their current situation and Shawnda will be residing in Ft. Worth until he is able to come home. All funds raised will be used to help the family with lodging, meals, travels, hospital bills, and any home modifcations (ramps, grab bars, ect) that need to be made for Mark to get around once he can return home.
Please help the Thompson family during this critical time in their lives. We give God so much Glory for what he has already done and thank Him for what He will continue to do!
