Funeral Cost For Mark Sullivan & Vet Cost 4 Piper

Hi My name is Shaina Im the adoptive daughter of Mark Sullivan and Denise Chapman. On Monday November 14th, 2022 Mark was struck by a train near their home in a freak accident. If you know my parents there dogs are there kids and treated as royalty as they should be. Over the years they have had multiple sets of AKC Labrador Retrievers. The newest additions to the family being Emma Lea (Chocolate) & Piper (Black).

On Monday night on there regular evening walk Emma Lea and Piper managed to get on the train tracks in a series of unfortunate events leading up to the worst possible outcome. In a heroic attempt to save Emma Lea off the tracks Mark tried to grab her and both were struck instantly by the train leading to the passing of both my dad and Emma Lea.

Piper however my parents 13 month old Black Lab escaped with severe injuries and was rushed to none other then Piper Memorial Veterinarian Hospital in middletown. Though she is severely injured with deep Lacerations to her body along with having to get her tail and rear toes amputated on one paw the outcome at this time is that she will make a recovery and return home within the next couple of weeks.

With that being said the vet bill is already mounting at a Whopping $13,000 and growing daily with an outlook of at least another week or two in the hospital. On top of all this my adopted mom Denise has been left heartbroken along with the whole family with the loss of my Dad Mark and our families other dog Emma Lea. Denise is unable to work as she was diagnosed with Lyme Disease many years ago and has lost most functionality in her right leg. Mark was the one providing for the family and now with a mounting vet bill and funeral costs for Mark any donation would help ease the financial burden of this horrific accident.

Pipers life being spared in this time is the one thing Denise is putting all her Hope in as her whole life has just been altered. We thank God for the Mercy he has poured out in this time of grief and that he has given us the hope of bringing this sweet puppy back home as soon as she is well enough.
