Mark Spence Support Fund

Early this month our good friend Mark Spence (Cary High School class of ’85) was admitted to N. C. Memorial Hospital after suffering from a stroke. Test results confirmed that Mark’s stroke was caused by lesions on his brain due to Cancer. He will start treatments later this week to battle his cancer and will continue with physical therapy due to complications from the stroke.

Mark is ready to get back to fishing, and hunting, but most of all helping his daughter achieve her dream of graduating from college. She is currently a sophomore studying psychology and Mark is already campaigning for her a job at the hospital.

We plan for things like purchasing a home, a fun vacation, and maybe one day retiring, but we don’t plan for a disease like this. Together we can ease the financial burden that comes along with this disease so Mark can focus on his treatment and spending time with his daughter. We are raising funds to help with his medical and incidental expenses that will arise without question during this difficult time. “Hope” is healing and is felt through your encouraging words and your thoughts and prayers.
