As many of you know, my father, Mark Soli, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Prostate Cancer in June of 2023. This means that he has cancer that has spread throughout his bones and lymph nodes and it is incurable. At the time of diagnosis, he was not strong enough for chemo. He lost over 50 pounds in two short months and was very weak. He's been in a great deal of pain. He has had radiation to treat the worst spots to try to alleviate some of the pain, but it's continuing to spread and eat away at his skeleton. He has now gained 7 pounds back and is eating better, so they want to try chemotherapy. He will begin chemo treatments on November 15th, in hopes that it slows the spread and alleviates some more of the pain. All they can do at this point is make him as comfortable as they can. In the bone scan pictured, all of the bright spots are cancer. This scan was from August and it has only gotten worse since.

Mark has been out of work due to this and his short term disability will soon come to an end. He is dealing with a tremendous amount of stress, pain, and medical bills.
