Mark Smith “Smitty”

This is not easy for us to ask for help but we know a lot of people love our dad. Our dad is currently in IU Methodist Hospital after having 2 massive back to back strokes and removing 2 blood clots from his brain. His is currently on the Stroke Unit after being moved from ICU. Our dad unfortunately has no insurance at this time as we are trying to get him enrolled in any that we can. We have no access to any of his financial information and he unfortunately cannot communicate with us to help us through this. We have a long road ahead with this and with everything that has happened. We are hoping to get some sort of assistance as he will need inpatient rehab. The hospital is doing and will do all they can do until he can be moved to rehab. This is very hard for us to ask for help. People who know our dad knows he has worked HARD his whole life as a wonderful trim carpenter. We are asking anyone who is able to reach out if in any way possible. This has impacted our lives as his children unexpectedly and in the worst way possible. We would appreciate anything and everything for our wonderful dad. We know we will get through this.
