Mark Silvester & Family

Hi my name is Dan Cherico and I'm raising funds for my dear friend Mark Silvester. As some of you know, Mark had a horrible accident at Work a few weeks ago. While painting a home, he was electrocuted by unprotected power lines, knocked off his ladder and plummeted over 20 feet to the pavement. Mark sustained gruesome injuries: a shattered shoulder, a broken femur and a pelvis fractured in seven places. Transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital in unimaginable pain, he endured multiple surgeries over several days. Doctors worked feverishly to piece together a man who had previously had both knees and hips replaced. Recently Mark was transferred to Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains. There he is enduring arduous physical and occupational therapy sessions, learning to walk again and regain the use of his right arm.

So, this is how things stand at the moment. Mark is the ultimate warrior patient, doing the grueling work required to heal. Now is the time for us to provide critical support for him and his family. The Silvesters are facing ever-growing medical bills running into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. More surgeries are required, such as one to replace his right hip. Mark will not be able to work again as a contractor and generate any income for at least several months, if ever. You have known Mark to be selflessly caring and supportive of all his friends and the, literally, thousands of kids he has coached over the past four decades.
