On April 9th, 2019 our father Mark Shaw passed away; leaving an immense hole in our hearts, taking from our family an amazing husband and father, and taking from the world an incredible and giving man who always thought of others before himself.

During our father's extended battle with cancer he participated in multiple clinical trials and studies which have made major contributions to cancer treatment research.  He even chose to give the ultimate donation of his body after his passing to the University of Minnesota in order to continue helping advance research.  Our mother continues her clinical trials as well in her journey with stage 4 cancer.

Through both our parents' cancer treatments, Gilda's Club of MN provided and continues to provide incredible emotional and mental health support, and we cannot express how grateful we are that a resource like Gilda's Club exists to help those patients and their families facing cancer.

To honor our father's spirit of giving and our mother's wishes, we've decided not to hold a traditional funeral service, but to say thank you to this incredible organization.  

We are asking those who can to please make a donation which will be presented to the Gilda's Club Twin Cities in our father's memory.
