On Wednesday, April 10th, our friend and family member Mark Riddle was rushed by ambulance to St. David's North Austin Medical Center. He was treated immediately for a rare flesh-eating bacteria and accompanying blood sepsis. After 10 days in the ICU and four and half surgeries, Mark has started the long road to recovery thanks to his sheer will to live and the support of the amazing staff at St. David's, his wife Shari, his mother and brothers, and many close friends all over "The 5-0" as Mark calls it.

Word travels fast in The 5-0 and beyond, so you may have heard something about Mark already. What a lot of people don't know yet is that Mark was laid off from his job 2 days before falling ill. In order to help defray the expenses of the coming sky-high COBRA insurance premiums along with deductibles and other inevitable expenses, we're hoping to raise as much money as possible to support him and Shari during his recovery.

Mark has battled for his life once before, and he will again with a little help from us! ❤️
