Hey all, on February 8th, 2024 my dad, Mark, was diagnosed with stage 3 non-small cell lung cancer. I’ve kept relatively quiet about this, but my family could really use some help.

We’ve never been the richest, but my entire life I’ve watched my dad work hard to give his family the best life possible, and he continues to even through all that’s happening. He’s kind, caring, and humble, and I’ve always looked up to him. Our goal now is to support him as he navigates all that comes with his diagnosis and chemoradiotherapy.

He has gone through test after test, procedure after procedure, and as incredible as the US healthcare system is (that’s completely satire, I cope with humor!), the medical bills are racking up quickly. He just started an intense 6-8 weeks of radiation treatment daily, 5 days a week, and chemo once a week. However, it’s in Corvallis, and my parents live in Newport, so they’ll be traveling there nearly daily.
