At just 51 years old, Mark Masca is in need of a life-saving procedure. Mark is an incredible human being and enjoys the simple things in life, especially his dog, Lulu. He loves his job, as the lead shuttle driver at the Marriott Beachside in Key West, Florida. His contagious smile, humbleness, and humorous personality, resonates through anyone and everyone he encounters. Mark is also an author that has published two novels, plays the guitar & ukulele, and has done numerous “voice-overs” for both national and local radio stations.

After going through the effects of hurricane Ian, Mark was in his yard doing basic clean-up to get things back to “normal”. Suddenly, Mark had difficulty breathing and asked to be taken to the hospital to be checked out. After running tests, he had suffered a mild heart attack. The doctors said, “had you have gone inside to just lay down (as most would do) you would have most likely suffered a life-ending heart attack in your sleep”.

After running tests, Mark was flown to Mt. Sinai in Miami, where he is currently. For him to survive, Mark needs to have triple-bypass surgery, a very costly procedure.
