Mark Marlow's Medical Bills

Hi everyone.  For those of you that don't know yet, Mark Marlow was in a very serious motorcycle accident on Saturday, October 22nd.  He was lifeflighted from Port Charlotte to Ft. Myers, where he is currently at Lee Memorial Hospital.   At this point, it doesn't look like his injuries are life threathening, but they are life altering and extremely serious and he needs your help.  He fractured his C1 and C2 vertabrae and is currently on a ventilator to assist with his breathing.   He has been in medically induced coma since he got there because any movement right now could result in further damage, including paralysis.  They did briefly wake him yesterday so he could at least see his girlfriend and he was scheduled for surgery today to fuse the two vertabrae together but that has been post-poned until Wednesday or Thursday.   This is a high rish surgery and the outcome is not ideal, leaving him with very limited range of motion.  It's obviously better than the alternative which is no surgery and possible paralysis.  Right now we just want to focus on Mark and getting him better, but unfortuantely we have to deal with life.  He was let go from his construction job last week, due to a lack of work, so his health insurance is ending on October 31st.  With hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of surgeries, rehab and long term care, we obviously are going to continue his insurance through COBRA.  It is very, very expensive.  Simply put, while Mark needs your love and support, he also needs your help in paying for his insurance.  Every penny donated will go to taking care of him and his medical needs.  If you know Mark, you know that he is the most generous guy in the world and has spent his life helping everyone out when they needed it - from friends to complete strangers.  Please donate what you can, when you can.  And PLEASE share this page and share it often.  He has always talked about how much his friends mean to him.  He has so much love for you all and it would mean so much to him and to us if you can help out however you can.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at [email redacted].  I am his sister and can hopefully answer any questions you might have.
