Mark MacLean's Recovery

Donation protected
For years, our church has posted signs around town and in  our own yards that say,  “Love Everyone Always.”  When I think of The MacLean Family, I think of a family that loves AND SERVES everyone always.  They serve their church families, their friends, their coworkers, their communities, the list is endless.  Mark and Alicia have been married for over 22 years.  They have 3 children, Brianna (20), Marleah (14), and Keegan (12).  Alicia has spent her career in the medical field and Mark as an attorney. They are raising their children in the heart of the San Marco area of Jacksonville, Florida.

Less than 4 years ago, Mark ran for a seat in the House of Representatives, not because he is a politician, but because he wants to make a difference in the world.  Campaigning on Mark’s political behalf 4 years ago was an honor I could never have imagined would turn into campaigning to improve his quality of life today.

The MacLean Household changed drastically in April of 2020 when Mark’s internal shingles caused a severe brain bleed leading to a craniotomy on April 10, 2020.   During Mark’s time in ICU, at the hospital, and at Brooks Rehabilitation, he was forced to begin recovery in isolation due to Covid-19 regulations.

Over the past 2 months, Alicia has been forced to transition Mark’s clients to other attorneys and suspend office operations of Mark's law practice, financially maintain their household on one income, care for their children, and advocated on Mark’s behalf for his medical care.

Mark has recently transitioned to a skilled nursing facility where he will continue to rehab so that he will be able to come home.  Because of his needs and to maximize the outcome of his treatment, Alicia chose to go outside of their network when the in-network facility declined to admit him causing a huge financial burden for their family.

In order to eventually move back home with his children who he has been separated from for months, his home will require wheelchair ramps, and various accommodations.  Their family will also require transportation for outpatient rehabilitation and various in-home nursing services.  These costs are tremendous and extremely overwhelming.

This family not only needs your constant prayers, but any financial assistance you can provide. On behalf of the MacLean family, I thank you in advance for your support.
