In Loving Memory of Mark Machin

Our dear friend Mark has sadly and unexpectedly passed away, leaving those of us who knew and loved him in disbelief.

For many years, Mark lived with a long-standing heart condition, but he never let it define him or slow him down. He chose, instead, to live his life the way he wanted.

Whether he was out relaxing on the bank fishing, riding his motorbike, or playing his "loud and obnoxious" music, Mark brought an energy that was impossible to ignore. He was a man of many passions: a lifelong Tottenham Hotspur fan (even if it cost him several TVs having thrown the remote at the screen several times when they were losing), he was also a devoted follower of road and track racing, a loyal fan of Yamaha, and in recent years, a proud member of the Surrey Immortals. He also had a deep love of both Harley Davidsons and Triumph motorcycles and he loved nothing more than going for regular rides with the club.

But more than his hobbies, we’ll remember the infectious laughter that followed him everywhere—even if it was sparked by his questionable sense of humour or the legendary (and frequent) mishaps of him falling into the lake while fishing. Mark loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed many trips to various sunny destinations with his sister Anita.

Above all, Mark was the person who was always there when you needed him. He had a loyal heart to his friends and family alike. His passing leaves a massive hole in our lives that can never be filled.

We would like to raise funds to cover some of the funeral costs to give Mark the send-off that will be truly fitting for who he was. Any contribution to help us honour our friend would mean the world to all of us.
