We are Mark and Leticia Frankel and we live in Belize and have a small business called L.M. Lodging and Tours. But our business got hit hard after the tourism industry was decimated when we went on lockdown because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Then recently we were hit hard again by two major Category 5 hurricanes - Hurricane Eta and Iota which impact has destroyed our home. Our entire house went under water and we have lost almost everything. This has impacted our ability to re-open our business in hopes of whatever tourism might make it back to Belize this winter.
We are very devastated and financially strained because of the natural disaster. We have added pictures so you all can see what the damages & current state of flooding.
We have created a GoFundMe Account where our friends would be able to help us in any way they can. The repairs include mold removal, dry wall replacement, new floors, replace appliances & some furniture among other items yet unknown.
Whatever assistance you are able to give is very much appreciated. We are trying to get the work done as soon as possible so that we can hopefully salvage part of the tourist season this year.
