Mark & Leonie Goodridge

My beautiful Dad Mark Goodridge passed away on Monday 13th March so unexpectedly and without any warning from a split Aorta. The Gold Coast University Hospital did their best and operated for 8.5 hours repairing the top half of his aorta. They then placed dad in an induced coma and wanted to repair the bottom half 3 days later when his heart had time to recover. Sadly dad went into cardiac arrest and the Doctors were unable to save him. A day later, my mother Leonie Goodridge had a heart attack and was rushed to the PA Hospital where they operated on her and have put a stint into her main artery that was blocked by 90%. Mums heart is only functioning at 30% instead of 55% and the Doctors are hoping the medication will assist. Mum is already grieving the loss of her best friend and soul mate, and unable to work for a considerable amount of time with her own heart issues now which the Doctors have said may take up to a year. I am wanting to Set up a GOFUNDME to assist my mum and family with dads funeral expenses as Dad was the main source of income and I’m really not sure how mum is going to survive moving forward and is not suppose to have any stress with her own heart condition. We’d like to raise enough money so mum can have a little bit of breathing space as she now has to come up with mortgage payments as well as help feeding 6 other people in the house including her four grandchildren who are also grieving the loss of their Grand dad.
