My name is Lori Brink and I am starting a GoFundMe for my parents Mark & LeeAnn Brink who have lived in Lakewood Ranch, FL for 20 years in the Summerfield Bluffs Community. Their home has been devastated by Hurricane Debby’s enduring torrential rain. 

 On the morning of August 5th, six inches of contaminated water rose and rushed throughout their entire home at a rapid rate. They were evacuated by a rescue truck as their entire community turned into a rushing river. 

Their home is NOT in a flood zone according FEMA and their home lender did not request, nor require them to purchase it. For 20 years, they have weathered ANNUAL hurricanes and have NEVER flooded. 

With no Flood Insurance, their Home Owners Insurance will NOT cover any of the expenses to restore their home (mold re-mediation, drywall replacement, trim work replacement, painting and cabinetry) that is currently underway. They have disposed of their carpet, wood floors and furniture. 

According to the mediation company, the current estimate is over $100,000 including personal contents.

To make matters worse, my parents 47th Anniversary was on August 6th.

My family will be forever GRATEFUL for any financial support received. ALL donations will go to the re-building of their home. Thank you in advance for your support during this overwhelming and heart breaking time in our lives.
