Mark laying to rest
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Evette Dawkins, the fundraiser, I am in close correspondence with Mark"s family.
On the 13th December 2022, family, friends, colleagues and all that knew Mark Barton were heartbroken by hearing the news of his sudden passing.
Mark was well loved, respected and honoured by his family where he tried his best to keep them uplifted after the sad passing of his younger brother whose life was tragically taken. This rocked the whole family, as well as had an adverse effect on his mum’s health, who Mark cared for.
Mark being the eldest brother was also affected deeply by this tragic loss, but nevertheless was highly committed to his work where he Managed the Gangs Unit for Hackney, making a difference in the Borough.
Mark’s work involved connecting with gangs, victims, and families who had lost children to violent crime, prison engagements and grassroots work to stakeholders’ engagement.
He worked right up to the end of his passing, leaving his family, friends and community in shock, with no preparations in place.
We can come together as a community in the last chance to show our love and appreciation for Mark in the commitment, engagement, connection, jokes, cussing, laughter, love and support he has given with ease.
We would love to give him the great send off that he deserves, therefore, if you can donate it would be much appreciated.
