Mark Hardwick – Representing England at the 2025 World Karate Championship

Hi everyone,

My name is Mark Hardwick, and I’m proud to share that I’ve been selected to represent England at the 2025 World Karate Championship in Germany! I’ll be competing in Traditional Kata, Kumite, and Weapons Kata, representing not just my country, but also my roots at Gesar Karate Club, where my journey began.

I started karate in 2007 at the age of 8 and have been dedicated to the art ever since.

Shodan (1st Dan) in 2014

Nidan (2nd Dan) in 2017

Sandan (3rd Dan) in 2024

After a few years away from competition, I returned in 2024 with renewed focus, competing in major events like the WKU British Open and WKU Interclub, earning a silver medal in 2025.

Now, with your support, I have the incredible opportunity to compete on the world stage. This journey comes with costs — travel, accommodation, training, equipment, and competition fees. I’m asking for your help to make this dream a reality.

Why support?

You’ll be directly helping an athlete represent England on the world stage.

You’re investing in years of hard work, discipline, and dedication.

Your support also helps spotlight the amazing work of Gesar Karate Club, which is sending 11 athletes, including 8 junior members aged 9–14, to the World Championship — a real triumph for grassroots sports.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to the mat in Germany.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

Any funds left that are not used for Mark will be going towards Gesar Karate's other participating Students going to the competition
