Funeral expenses for Mark Gillman (Aaron Mark)
Donation protected
With pain in our hearts and tears in our eyes, we have to say goodbye to Mark Gillman. Please help alleviate the financial stress (anything helps) for his grieving family. The money will go directly to the Gillman’s for whatever they may need during this time.
I want to take this time to share something i wrote. Mark was the neighborhood dad. He helped so many of us at one point in our lives.
Mark,
When I think of Mark (and Ellen) so many memories flood my brain. I spent (and so did most of the neighborhood) most of my days as a kid at their house. I learned so many things from Mark. I learned phone etiquette (we all even memorized his voicemail greeting, I could probably recite it perfectly today), we were not allowed to call his house and ask for one of his girls without addressing him properly first!
Now, when my daughter gets phone calls and they don’t properly ask for her it sends chills down my spine.
He taught me to recycle EVERYTHING! He taught me that when you give your daughters money to buy gum, and then just find all the wrappers on the ground, on your front steps that’s it’s unacceptable!! (Oh do I understand this now!!!)
He taught me about music, passion (when he was into something he worked at it until it was perfect). He taught me how to drum (on my steering wheel, but it still counts), and so much more (literally so much more) Mark was the guy who allowed all the kids in his house, he fed us, loved us, taught us, yelled at us, put up with us (seriously he put up with us) and then made sure we all got home safely at the end of the day by getting in his van and bringing us all home. He cared! He loved his kids, He loved their friends, and most of all he loved his beautiful wife. He was always in awe of her beauty.
I know there are so many of us that have memories like some of the ones listed above!
I’m sad for my friends!
