Thank you so much for your generous contributions!!! The outpouring of love and support has been absolutely amazing! Mark has been released from the hospital and is back home trying to heal. There is a very long road to recovery ahead, but we all have so much to be grateful for! I want to let everybody know exactly what your donations are going towards and how greatly appreciated they are. The balance due to Legacy Health is $205,415.81, the

balance due to Columbia Memorial Hospital is $12,008.96, and the balance due to Medix Ambulance Service is $5,050.00. That gives us a whopping grand total of $222,474.77 in medical bills. Thankfully in the midst of everything Cora was able to obtain life flight insurance; which saved them from having that huge additional bill. Mark will be working with the hospitals to try and work out some sort of payment plan and perhaps even get assistance with some of the balances and we are all hoping that he is successful in his efforts. Hi my name is Hanna Bohrer and I am lucky enough to call myself a friend and coworker of Mark and Cora Gillit. As some of you may know, early Thursday morning Mark suffered a brain aneurysm. This took all of us completely by surprise! He was taken by ambulance to CMH and then via life flight to Legacy Emanuel in Portland where they preformed emergency surgery to insert seven coils into his brain to stop the bleeding and reduce the swelling and pressure. They also inserted a drain tube for the excess fluid on his brain. Mark is a fighter and with his very loving and caring wife and strong mother by his side, he is defying all odds. It is nothing short of a miracle that we hope to have Mark back home, in hopefully no longer than 2 weeks to start the long road of recovery surrounded by those who love him. As you can imagine, such an unexpected emergency will have a devastating financial impact.
