As those of you who know me will be aware, I've had long hair and a ponytail for over half my life (and that's quite a lot of life!). Unfortunately, however, recently the bits on top haven't quite been keeping up with the rest.
I am, therefore, going to go to the opposite extreme and get rid of the lot. Without a safety net or, due to current circumstances, the assistance of a barber.
Of course, you don't get away scot free with laughing at my emotional trauma. I'll be expecting you all to chip in for charity in an attempt to make me feel better.
The charity I'm supporting is The Black Box in Belfast. Some of you will have been there and used its services, but for those who haven't, it's a small arts venue of the sort that's been placed under existential threat by COVID. Not only do they support local performers as well as bringing all sorts of amazing weird and wonderful acts to Belfast in fairer times, but they've also been continuing throughout lockdown with their activities for adults and children with special needs and disabilities.
So please hit the donate button, dig deep, and don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box!
P.S. Rumours that generous donors may get to choose a design to be painted on my head and paraded around town once people are a thing again are probably entirely unfounded, particularly since I know it'll be a Liverpool crest.
