The Mark Egan Memorial Cup 2025
Honouring a Life. Supporting a Community. Saving Lives.
On Sunday, August 24th, Lourdes Celtic Football Club will host the second Mark Egan Memorial Cup — a day to remember, to connect, and to raise vital funds for Trinity Affordable Counselling Service.
This Cup means everything to me and my family.
Lourdes is where all of our boys have played, and this year, our son Ryan will step onto the pitch with his dad’s name in his heart.
To see this club and community carry Mark’s name forward that’s something words can’t fully capture.

️ Why We’re Doing This
In June 2017, my husband Mark Egan died by suicide.
Since that day, our world changed forever.
Mark was a devoted dad, a deeply loved husband and loved by many family and friends,
I believe that when we stop saying someone’s name, they die twice and I will never stop saying Mark’s name.
That belief, and that pain and grief, led me to complete my Degree as a counsellor and psychotherapist, and in May 2024, I began working at Trinity Affordable Counselling, a low-cost service that supports people who might not otherwise afford help.
But Trinity can only continue this work with support.
The need is growing. The funding is not.
That’s why this year’s Memorial Cup is also a fundraiser — in Mark’s name — to help Trinity keep its doors open and its clients supported.
Lourdes celtic football club have been so supportive to myself and our 4 children i will be forever greatfull to them for creating this memorial cup in marks memory.
