Mark Deets ICU and Car Accident Support

In the early morning hours of April 2, 2022, our father, Mark Deets, was on his way home from work in the Phoenix area when he was rear-ended at a high rate of speed by a driver under the influence and sent through the median, taking out 4 trees and a light pole before ending up on the curb on the other side of the road. Mark was pinned in the car and had to be extricated out of the vehicle.

 

Mark sustained life threatening injuries in the crash to include a broken sternum, a severe tear to his aortic valve in his heart, fractures to his lower lumbar, and lacerations on his head. Mark is currently fighting for his life in the ICU. Sedated and on a venitlator, he has had 3 surgeries so far and doctors anticipate more. He has a very long road ahead of him, and we are praying for healing and recovery.

 

A friend to anyone he meets, including grocery store clerks and anyone he helps on the roadside, Mark has been the sole breadwinner while his wife Lisa cares for her mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. Without a means of income and medical bills mounting, the Deets family appreciates any support offered, including positive thoughts and prayers and sharing this donation effort with friends and family.
