Mark fell off a roof and fractured his clavicle and two vertebrae, as well as sustaining a spinal cord injury which is affecting movement in his legs. After multiple surgeries to repair his spine and clavicle, a week in trauma ICU and a second week recovering in the hospital, Mark is preparing to move to The Shepherd Center in Atlanta to begin intensive inpatient rehabilitation for his spinal cord injury.

Mark lives in Wilmington with his wife Rachel and their two kids. He has not been able to see any friends or family members during this time due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Rachel has done an amazing job advocating for him remotely and coordinating his care.
