In Loving Memory of Mark Cumberbatch

On 12th December 2024, we lost our dear friend Mark Cumberbatch—a man whose warmth, humour, and love for the game left a lasting mark on all of us. In honour of Mark’s memory, we’re raising funds for a memorial bench to be placed at his beloved Gathurst Golf Club, nestled beside the patio behind the 18th green—his favourite spot to share stories, laughter, and a well-earned pint.

Thanks to the kindness of the club, this special location has been generously allocated for Mark’s bench, and the family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for this thoughtful gesture.

The bench has already been ordered and will be unveiled on the one-year anniversary of Mark’s passing—12th December 2025. Everyone is welcome to attend, reflect, and raise a glass in his honour.

This is a private fundraiser, shared only with Mark’s close friends. Any contribution, big or small, will help us create a lasting tribute to a man who meant so much to so many.
