Mark Casey Medical Expenses

Hello, my name is Heather Crosby and I am raising money for my father’s medical expenses.

At the end of October, my dad, Mark, went to the hospital with signs of a stroke. They found that he had signs of having multiple mini strokes and began searching for a cause. In the 6 weeks since then, he had experienced multiple strokes, been in and out of the ER, and still had no answers to what is causing them. After my mom asked the doctors about a new pain in his lower back, they did a scan of his spine and found lytic lesions. They got an hematologist/ oncologist involved who found a large mass in dad’s kidney as well as more lesions on his sternum. That, along with some blood work results, have the doctors fairly confident that he has kidney cancer that has spread to his bones. He has a biopsy scheduled for Tuesday 12/26 and then will have to wait 5-7 days for results.

Dad already has expenses from multiple ER visits, Ambulance costs, testing, home health, physical therapy, etc. that have already started stacking up. After they get the results, they will learn more about next steps which will almost certainly include new costs (especially with the new year around the corner which will reset deductibles and out of pocket maximum).

My sisters, Valerie and Dia, and I would like to ask you to prayerfully consider helping my parents out financially during this time. My mom works full time and has been blessed with a flexible job that has allowed her to work from home to help dad. However, the extra medical expenses will be extremely difficult for them, especially if any future treatment requires money up-front.
