Mark Capps’ road to recovery

Donation protected
On September 1st, my 55-year-old father Mark, a desert storm veteran, an outdoorsman, and the
greatest dad and grandfather out there, was doing one of his favorite things - riding his motorcycle through the Appalachian Mountains. As he was riding, a driver crossed double yellow lines, and to avoid a head-on collision, my father hit his brakes and skid for roughly 160 feet until he was forced to lay his bike down and slide over 75 feet, barely missing the guardrail. The driver never stopped, but luckily, his riding partner turned around and a passerby saw him and stopped to call for help. They stayed with him and provided first aid until medical personnel arrived. Because of his injuries, and the remote location in the mountains, he was life-flighted to the nearest trauma center. There, they were able to
stabilize him quickly and he is now recovering with a long road ahead.

Mark has worked labor intensive construction for most of his adult life, and the extent of the injuries will prevent him from working for the foreseeable future which factors out a majority of his income. His current living situation depends on him doing maintenance and physical labor in exchange for rent putting it in jeopardy on the road to healing.

No one prepares for an accident like this to happen, and the hospital he was taken to is not in his network. Due to the unexpected medical expenses our family is asking yours for a little help, we are asking you to donate to ease the financial burden off of Mark in order for him to focus on healing.
