Mark Brown Family Fund
Mark Brown tested positive for COVID-19 on Halloween. He quarantined to try to protect his family, and suffered from a cough and loss of appetite. His symptoms worsened, and a week later, he was admitted to the ICU with COVID pneumonia. Mark continued to worsen. Soon after he was sedated and placed on a ventilator. He then suffered kidney failure, internal bleeding, a spiking heart rate, and more. Mark never regained consciousness. He lost his battle with COVID on Tuesday.
Mark followed COVID guidelines. He wore a mask, stayed home as much as possible, and avoided indoor spaces and large gatherings. But COVID still found him. He was taken from this world too soon.
Mark leaves behind his loving wife of 17 years, Sue, and the light of his life - his daughter, Sophie. They’re in shock, trying to make sense of it all. He also leaves behind his mother, Janet, his brother Doug, and a large extended family.
Mark was a generous and giving person, helping many when they were in need - never asking for anything in return. We will all miss Mark’s wit, his love of political debate, his expansive memory for useless facts, and his love of potato chips. But mostly, we’ll remember his love for his family.
Please partner with us to support Mark’s family, Sue and Sophie, as they navigate life without Mark. Donations will go directly to Sue to offset the unanticipated medical costs and end of life expenses, and to help them get through this difficult time.
Thank you for your love and support for Mark’s family.
Please wear a mask.
