Mark has been through a hell of a year. You might say he's been to hell and back. He was diagnosed with mouth cancer last July 2020 and underwent 20 hours of major surgery in October which involved removing 2/3 of his lower jaw, teeth, and portions of his throat and tounge. He has also undergone intensive radiotherapy thearapy numerous times and has been declared by his doctors as cancer free, which is great news but the surgery has left him very disfigured and he now finds it very difficult to talk, communicate, and  is only able to eat through a tube (rig) inserted directly into his stomach. The poor bugger doesn't even get to taste his food. On top of which the surgery and radiation therapy has left a hole in his throat that requires more surgery if he's ever to eat properly and improve his speech again. As a result of all this, it has affected Mark's financial situation greatly! He's been unable to work, he's had to draw down from his superannuation to keep up with basic living requirements like rent, bills, medication and medical equipment.
