In this uncertain time we hope that together as a collective unit we can each offer a sense of hope and strength for Amanda and her family as her husband fights for his life In the ICU with pancreatitis. Through his three week journey in the hospital Frank has been rushed to the ER for stomach pain and admitted to the Dr’s Hospital Manteca for pancreatitis. Infection then rampantly spread to the other major organs of his body and began to propose other issues with his health. In the process of trying to treat infections, sedation and breathing tubes quickly became part of the equation making this a nightmare of shock and unbelief and in turn need for advocacy for his wife and family.  Frank has now been transferred to Stanford because his treatment demands the best of the best. This has been a very touch and go experience for everyone involved. After being transferred to Stanford, today (10/05/21) Frank underwent a tracheotomy for a safer delivery of oxygen to his lungs, he is no longer sedated to the point of full
incoherency but he is now being faced with a road to recovery that is requiring therapy after having been sedated. While his infection is being treated he is also going to be required to need to fully breathe on his own without breathing tubes to be discharged. As you know we are in the middle of a global pandemic. This is just another layer of complexity to add to an already overwhelming scenario. Vaccines are required for vists and without a vaccine the visitors are required to pay out of pocket for Covid tests that are three digits in currency. A few visits a week add up. The family is quickly coming to find that Insurance is unable to cover a majority of the costs. As medical bills start to pile up and questions about insurance and livelihood become part of the conversation… my hope is that each of the people in Amanda’s community find the compassion to be apart of fighting with Amanda for the healing for her husband through prayer and apart of solutions that relieve the burden of her financial stress. Any amount you can donate to Amanda and her family will be greatly appreciated. Her family is under extreme amounts of stress and uncertainty. Please be apart of lifting her family up in prayer as we carry them through one of the most difficult things they will ever walk through together.
