Mariupol FC Women's Team appeal
Donation protected
Mariupol Women’s FC had humble but determined beginnings - funding themselves by starting a café and playing with a few donated kids’ footballs and male football shirts (the only government support they received).
The BBC recently did a short story about them and their journey
Alongside the professional women’s team, they ran two teams of younger girls. The women’s team quickly rose to the Ukrainian Women’s Premier League.
The team had to evacuate Mariupol when they were invaded. Now they are trying to return from Europe to reunite the team and play again.
The team also want to reopen their cafe business and to open as many women's football/soccer schools in as many Ukrainian cities as possible.
They also want to continue providing humanitarian aid for people who need it in Ukraine.
Right now they need help getting kit, balls, accommodation and funds to pay for pitches and travel. We started this fundraiser to help and appreciate any help you can offer.
