Marita's Surgery Recovery Fund

My wife Marita had Gastric Bypass surgery in Feb 2013 and everything has been great, until now. Marita had something go wrong last night and she was in severe pain for several hours when I forced her to go to the Emergency Room. This was a very good thing because the doctor said her incision had separated and she was leaking into her abdominal cavity. This has been extremely stressful for us but the worse part is she will be out of work for 4 - 6 weeks minimum.

We are not financially stable since I just started a new job a year ago after medically retiring from the Army. The loss of income from Marita will be devastating to our family. We have been getting by but only because she was working at Walmart. I am starting back to school nights in order to get my degree finished in the hopes to. climb the ladder to help make us more financially secure. 

I am use to raising money for others such as American Legion, Cystic Fibrosis, and the Shriners Hospital for children in Minneapolis, but have never had to ask personally for help. This is hard and if some of you can help we would be eternally grateful.

I will make a promise to all that help and that is that any monies not needed to replace her lost income or medical bills not covered by insurance I will donate the remainder of the funds to the above mentioned charities!
