Help Marissa Sutton Get Through Cancer Treatment

Dear family and friends,

For those who haven't heard yet, Marissa was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer earlier this year. She underwent a radical hysterectomy on May 23rd in hopes to remove the cancer, having to spend her 40th birthday (May 25) in recovery in the hospital. The cancer on her cervix was removed, however a small spot was found on one of her lymph nodes after a biopsy during the surgery. So, unfortunately Marissa will have to undergo chemo and radiation treatment, starting at the beginning of July. The treatment is everyday of the week and lasts for 6 to 8 weeks.

Despite everything she's been going though, Marissa has had a positive attitude about everything overall and has been in good spirits throughout. The recovery from her surgery is going great, and she was back to her old self, joking with all her nurses within hours. She has a fantastic team of doctors at Dell Seton who are giving her the best treatment. Her doctors are confident that the chemo/radiation will be successful.

Marissa and her boyfriend, Ryan, are living on one income and only getting by with one vehicle, making it especially difficult to get to and from her daily appointments. Marissa is searching for a work from home job to supplement, however it unfortunately won't happen until after her treatment is over. In the mean time, we ask that our friends and family help them out in their time of need. The donations will help Marissa, Ryan and their 4 dogs with any medical expenses not covered by insurance, trasportation/gas to and from daily appointments, household bills and expenses, groceries, etc. Anything you can do to help them is greatly appreciated! ❤
