During these uncertain times, many of us are facing a lot of challenges in our lives. It’s more important than ever to lift others up and help each other in times of need. That’s why we’ve created this GoFundMe page for our friend and Mike Shaw team member, Marissa Pena.
Marissa has been our colleague for the past year and seven months and she works as a Title Specialist at Mike Shaw Subaru. She’s a hard-working and positive team member who always helps bring a smile to her co-workers’ faces.
Marissa is currently fighting the toughest battle of her life as she goes through surgery and radiation for papillary thyroid cancer. She was first diagnosed in July 2017 and underwent several treatments and surgery. In 2019, she thought she had beat the cancer, but this past May, an ultrasound revealed that the cancer was back and she is scheduled for another round of surgery and radiation in July 2020. These next few months will be a challenge for Marissa as she works to beat cancer for a second time.
That’s why we want to help. Any donations we are able to raise through this GoFundMe page will go directly to Marissa for her medical bills related to surgery, testing, and her recovery.
