Our beloved Marissa is facing one of the most difficult chapters of her life. After many years living in Thailand, experiencing all the highs and lows of living in Ko Pha-Ngan and helping many people in sometimes dire situations, she is now the one experiencing prolonged health deterioration.

Marissa who has been a strength, support and friend for so many over the years is now in need of the support of her friends.

Her immediate next step is to return to New Zealand, where she can access the healthcare, mental health services, and social support she needs to get back on her feet and begin healing. Unfortunately, the reality is that she has run out of resources in Thailand.

Sadly, Marissa is leaving with literally only the shirt on her back. We estimate she will need a minimum of NZ$2500 ($1,500 USD) per month to cover living costs etc.

We are appealing here, to Marissa‘s friends, to contribute whatever they can to help her repatriation and for her to have a 6 month window to seek the care she desperately needs without the added stress of struggling to live.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in helping Marissa rebuild her life and find stability again.

While Marissa is urgently in need of this financial support, she would also welcome direct contact from close friends, either by coming by while she is still in Thailand or calling (helping her with emotional support) or to chat about the good old days. ❤️
