Dear friends of the McDonald family,

This fundraiser is set up to help offset the cost of medical expenses and financial burden for the family during a very difficult time.  Marissa suffered a massive stroke on Saturday April 10th 2021.  She was in the ICU for 5 days. She needed to have surgery to remove multiple clots from the left side of her brain which affected her right arm and leg as well as her speech.  She will need to participate within an inpatient program for at least 3-4 weeks for PT and speech therapy, and will most likely need support in home once discharged.  She will also need to have a procedure completed on her heart once her therapies are complete. Due to this long recovery, it is uncertain when Marissa will be able to return to her job.  If you would like to assist with their financial burden, any donation would be greatly appreciated.  All funds will go directly to Marissa's medical and therapy costs, and offset any home financial distress occurring due to Marissa's inability to return to her job during her long road of recovery.
