Marissa Janich Medical and Household Bills

My name is Joe D'Amore and I'm organizing this fundraiser for my dear friend Marissa Janich. Currently, she's unable to keep up with her basic expenses, burdened by medical bills, surgeries, surgical complications, and Lupus. During the last three years, she's had 12 back procedures, with 4 surgeries in the past year. Her first back surgery failed. This was a multi-level spinal fusion, causing extensive damage that punctured her dura mater, which protects the spinal cord. This caused her spinal fluid to drain which is very dangerous. 

While trying to repair the spinal cord the doctor hit her nerve root, leaving the right side of her torso and leg without feeling and movement.  This caused nerve damage and resulted in drop foot syndrome, making it extremely difficult to walk, even with a cane or walker. Besides her debilitating back complications, she has health issues stemming from chronic kidney failure to vasculitis, and other conditions brought on from attacks to her weakened immune system. To cope with it all, she's had numerous MRIs, Doctor visits, and escalating medication costs. She will also need to have her vehicle converted to a left-foot accelerator and expensive braces for her back and leg to operate the vehicle.

What's unbelievable about my friend Marissa is with all of her medical and financial issues, (sometime she can't even get out of bed) she always takes the time to help me with my problems, which are insignificant by comparison, calling me daily to keep me level. Unfortunately, she won't be able to return to work, a career of over 25 years in the gaming industry. She has ongoing physical therapy to rehabilitate her leg and foot. I know, it's unreal and a mouthful, but this her life.
