Marisela Tabares Cabrera

Marisela Tabares Cabrera, a dedicated teacher who worked at Southside and Norma Bossard Elementary schools in Miami-Dade County Public schools, was first diagnosed with stage four Non-Small Cell lung cancer on November 21, 2016.   Since the initial diagnosis  she received many types of medical treatments, including traditional medicine, radiation and chemotherapy.   It was only within the last month where the cancer became extremely aggressive and manifested itself to the liver, spine, and brain making it extremely difficult to overcome.   She is now in Hospice and her time is running out.

For anyone who knew Mari, or as she was known in the eduction world “Tabares”  she was a loving person who would give you the shirt off her back to help you.    She was always smiling , laughing, making jokes, and even watching cartoons with her children. She was the best friend everyone wanted to have, the greatest wife, and the ultimate mother.  

Although it is obvious that any donation provided to this Go Fund Me would help during this devastating time, it would also emphasize the giving and loving person she was, as there is no doubt she would do the same for someone else.

Marisela and Omar have three beautiful children, David the youngest is only 14 years old.
