Marisa's Legacy: Helping Rescue Dogs Heal Lives
Donation protected

Marisa was a true animal lover with the world’s biggest heart, always believing that every animal deserves a forever happy home. Her passion for animals, kindness, and generosity touched everyone she met.
Marisa leaves behind a loving husband, four wonderful children, and a large family who cherish her memory deeply. We want to honor her life and her love for animals in a way that will keep her spirit alive for years to come.
We are raising money in Marisa’s name to support Canine Companions. This group helps turn rescue dogs into service dogs and therapy dogs. These dogs go on to help children with disabilities, adults with physical or hearing challenges, and veterans with disabilities or PTSD.
They also work with professionals like teachers, nurses, therapists, and counselors in places such as hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, and the court system. These dogs bring comfort and healing to people who are sick in hospitals, recovering from surgery, or going through difficult medical treatments.
Through this program, dogs who once needed a home themselves are trained to bring hope, healing, and independence to people in need, just as Marisa would have wanted.
All donations collected here will be presented as one memorial gift to Canine Companions in Marisa’s honor, and the family will receive a plaque commemorating this legacy of love and compassion.
Please join us in remembering Marisa by giving a gift that helps dogs change lives.
