For those of you who have met Marisa, you already know she is one of the smartest, funniest, bravest women you will ever meet and right now she needs her family, friends and loved ones to give her strength, love and support in her on ongoing fight against cancer.
Dec 18th, 2020 marked Marisa's two year battle against Stage 4 Thymic Carcinoma. She is fighting cancer for a second time in her life as she first had it at 19 years old. This type of cancer is external to her lungs and near her Thymic gland. While her previous medical treatments showed great progress and even shrunk the cancer, we recently found spots on her liver that the doctors have confirmed as a very likely area of growth as well.
We are asking for your support to help lighten the financial burden of this awful disease as she starts a new oral medication to fight the growth in her liver. On average, her treatments are atleast $1500 quarterly and cover costs such as CT scans, MRI's, bloodwork and other necessary expenses. We are asking our prayer warriors to ask for strength and healing and for her to respond to her treatment with minimal side effects.
Marisa is a soul of great positivity and love and she gets her strength from being close with friends and family, so the isolation of quarantine has really impacted her spirit when she needs it most. Prayers, thoughts and messages of support are always welcome, and we are humbled by all who have shown her so much love already.
