Marisa Bocanegra, 39, was a woman treasured by so many.  She touched so many lives and inspired countless people around the world with her amazing story, her willingness to share, and he loving heart.

She was unexpectedly killed in a car accident on November 29, 2016.  Her 15 year old daughter, Hallie, was also in the accident.  She is currently in the hospital in a medically induced coma.

Marisa leaves behind he fiance, Brian, her sons Joseph and Jonathan, and her daughters Hallie, Jasmin and Isabella.  In addition are multiple family members including her birth mother and brother who just recently arrived in Minnesota to meet Marisa after 37 years of searching, and an additional two years of waiting.

She was very active in the deaf community as a loving support, liason and advocate.  She was involved as a support and advocate for victims of domestic abuse.  She was also an encouragement and support to so many adoptees in the Colombian community and beyond.

Her story touched many, and any support you can offer her family at this time to cover funeral expenses, as well as supporting this family through this tragic time would be a great tribute to a wonderful, beautiful woman.
