My Racing Dreams Just Came to Reality I just need a little help from you all to get there!!!
Hey how's it going, my name is Mario Bonfante Jr and I'm 27 years old. I've been involved in racing for most of my life, from BMX, to Motocross to finally attaining my pro license in Road Racing when I turned 16. In september of 2006 I unfortunately crashed on a bicycle doing some dirt jumps and broke my neck.
So I am now physically a c5-c6 quadriplegic, But mentally I am still the same guy I was before I got hurt I just have to get things done a little differently now. I have always been very driven and self motivated since I was a kid so after I got hurt I basically took it as a graduation from two wheels to four and kept the dream the same.
I've learned that the only boundaries were confined by are the ones we create in our own minds, and anything is possible we just need to figure out the technique of what we are trying to accomplish, then practice and apply it!
From 10 years ago until today I’ve struggled, learned, fought and continually progress each day just as I did as a child escalating through the ranks in racing. In the beginning I had no clue what to expect or even any idea on how to accomplish simple everyday basic tasks, but I’ve now tried and failed, figured out what works and prevailed. So from not being able to feed myself to driving a car around the tracks I used to race on before I was injured, I feel like I’ve kinda made it full circle and I can finally pick up where I left off!
It's been a long and lonely 10 year journey but everything happens for a reason so I just Keep Em Spinnin and continue to pursue presumed unachievable feats and changing people's perspectives of what they think is possible.
Failure and stagnation are my two biggest fears so I continually work on my progression each day to eliminate any possibility of personal error or unnecessary failure. I haven't gotten to where Im by accepting where I was, and I'm not going to get to where I am going by accepting where I am.
I have finally been offered an opportunity of my dreams to go and race over seas in a factory built race car!!!

I as a lot of you know I have been working my butt off to get the approval of my controls to run in a Rallycross/Rally series and have had a bit of trouble to say the least. I was speechless and honored when I received the email from the RX-Academy saying that it would not only be an honor but a privalige to have me perticapte in there program for 2017.
They are extremely excited about helping me not only implement my new control design into the car I will be racing, but designing them to be universal as well for any one to utilize/enjoy!
This is not only a dream come true, but an opportunity of a life time for me and I am doing anything I can to turn my championship dreams into a reality!
I am actively seeking partners/sponsors and support of any form to achieve the goals I have set ahead. I thank you for taking the time to consider joining me in my journey to reach my goals and I graciously ask you to please share this with anyone and anywhere you can.
