This page was set up to adopt a bench & plaque in Forest Park through the NYC ADOPT-A-BENCH program to create a space filled with life and nature that honors my uncle’s remembrance. The idea came to me as I recalled a beautiful memory of my uncle and I walking through Forest Park.

Mario was a remarkable soul who found solace and joy amidst the tranquility of Forest Park. From his cherished childhood memories playing in the playground to the quiet moments spent with his dog Ginger, or lively music during BBQs - the park was his sanctuary. With his eye for nature and passion for science, he shared invaluable lessons with all who knew him.

We want to open an invitation for you to join us in honoring his legacy by contributing to the creation of a bench plaque in Forest Park. Your support will ensure that his spirit lives on, providing a place of reflection and inspiration for generations to come.

With his sudden passing, we know how precious life is. This bench is a space we can all visit, sit and listen to the precious sound of life as it is in that moment, in hopes that he is sitting right beside us.
