Mario Monroy-Lahaina Relief

Hello, this is Checho, and I’m raising funds to help my friend of over 20 years, Mario Monroy, who has suffered devastating losses from the Lahaina fires to his home and livelihood.

Although Mario has deep ties to many communities and has called many places home, including Puerto Rico, NYC, Jersey City and Alaska, Mario is currently a very proud resident of Lahaina and also works as a Captain there for Trilogy tours. If you don’t know Mario, let me fill you in.

He is the most devoted family man, supporting his young son and best friend Tiago and his ailing Mother, Migdalia in Puerto Rico. He is also an extremely proud member of his community in Lahaina! He is devoted and hardworking and is the quintessential giver!!!

Now it’s time for him to receive some of that goodness he puts out into the world!

If you check out Mario’s social media, you will see he is both a talented artist and a poet with a zest for life and never short on words to express his feelings of love and gratitude for his son Tiago, his Mother, his many many friends, his life as a Tour Captain and his beautiful community in Lahaina. When I heard about the fires, I finally got word from Mario that his son was safe with his mother so he was heading right back to Lahaina, into harms way, to help in any way he could with rescue efforts. Not at all surprising!

Mario has now lost his home, all his possessions and his means to earn a living and support his extended family.

Please help him recover from these devastating losses. This money will go directly to Mario. Although I know it may be hard for this giver to accept help, I have no doubt he will be forever grateful!
