Mario Bravo, our dear friend, South High Alum and beautiful soul needs ALL of our support! Let’s help Mario find some financial relief so he can stop worrying and be ultra focused on his health!
After a recent trip to Omaha to spend time with family & friends Mario returned home to Florida & his world was ROCKED to the core! As he walked about his home his femur snapped and gave way beneath him. He crumpled to the ground in excruciating pain and called for emergency services.
He broke his femur on March 14, 2023. While in the ER that night, tests were run & confirmed that Mario has Multiple Myeloma. This is Bone Marrow CANCER that requires extensive treatment.
He had surgery the very next day to place a rod in the femur and a few days later he had another major surgery replacing the hip opposite the broken femur. There are lytic lesions throughout his body which are destroying his bones. His shoulder is also a concern & then there is the lesion on his head.
After moving to the rehab facility, Mario set out working painstakingly hard and he is CRUSHING it!! Most days Mario displays a smile even through the pain, fear & uncertainty.
His physical strength has improved to a level to send him home and start the next journey of cancer treatment on Tuesday 4/11/2023.
Mario is still inspiring others when everyone should be inspiring him! He knows he has a long road ahead but is staying positive!! What he needs right now is all the love, prayers and support (mentally, physically & monetarily) we can give!!
