Mario Arroyo Funeral Expenses
The following message is from Mario Arroyo's children:
Friends and family,
It is with great sadness and heartache that we share the passing of our beloved father, brother, uncle and friend, Mario Arroyo. After a long battle with several health issues, his heart could no longer withstand the battle and valiant effort he made to continue life. He lost his fight on Monday, June 7th, 2021, at approximately 8:30 pm.
As you all know, he enjoyed life surrounded by his closest friends and family and always found a way to make the best of any situation. He loved watching cowboy and home movies which included movies from his beloved birthplace, Amealco. He enjoyed live music concerts as music was part of his daily life. Over the last two years, he faced a lot of challenges. In March 2020 he endured a high-risk spine surgery that left him paralyzed waist down. After 3 months of therapy, he managed to regain strength in his legs and eventually was able to walk again. On April 24, 2021, he was diagnosed with covid-19 which forced him to be hospitalized and be placed on a ventilator for 10 days to help increase his oxygen levels. After almost a month of being hospitalized and going through physical therapy, he regained enough strength to walk and was sent home. On June 7th his heart gave up.
It has been a challenging & difficult time for us, his children, and we would like to ask for your support both financially and emotionally. We are struggling to cover all the final expenses on our own.
The wake will be held on June 13th, from 1pm-5pm at Rago Brothers Funeral Home. There will be a mass service on June 14th at 9:30am at Ss Genevieve. Followed by the burial at Acacia Park Cemetery at 11am.
He is survived by his wife, Silvia, his daughter Yenny, his sons, Edgar and Mario Arroyo and his father, brother and sisters.
Please feel free to contribute in whatever way you can. We truly appreciate all your support.
This page is being organized by myself, Vivian Diaz- Arroyo and my mom Maria Diaz Arroyo, who is brother/sister with Mario Arroyo. The donations will be used to cover funeral costs for the unexpected loss in the Arroyo family.
