Marin's Miracles

Every love story always have a plot twist....and for Jay and Melissa's, it was the unexpected early arrival of their daughter Marin. Melissa and Jay could not of wanted anything more but to have a beautiful baby girl, and they did....just a little early. Melissa unexpectedly went into pre-eclampsia after a routine appointment. She immediately was rushed to the hospital where both girls were closely monitored. After 2 days of trying to keep both Melissa and Marin stable, the only choice was to deliver. This would save both Melissa and Marin. So here she was ready to enter the world, Marin Elise Hillegass was born at 26 weeks on 1/21/22, weighing 1lb 7oz, fighting with everything she can. Since then everyday has been hit or miss, one step forward two steps back. Each breath, each heartbeat is a little miracle in itself. Each day is so fragile, not knowing what to expect. This little girl is truly a fighter just as her parents are.

Melissa and Jay truly appreciate all the love, support, and prayers that have been sent. Both of their hearts are smiling knowing of the army that is behind them giving them support.

This page is set up to try and help support the Hillegass family financially. There will be a ton of medical bills that will burden them. If anyone can donate, no matter what the amount, lets take some of that burden off of them so when Marin comes home they can finally enjoy their family life together peacefully.
