Yesterday (10/17) a truly unfortunate accident lead to our dear friend and colleague, Marin Barton, and her twin sister, Falin, losing their home and belongings to a fire. Marin is one of our patient care technicians at the Veterinary Referral Center of Colorado and a truly special person. She spends her days caring for our hospitalized patients, treating them with the utmost care and respect. She is a wonderful and caring friend, giving all of herself to others.
During this terribly stressful time, VRCC wants to help one of our own. Marin was home when the fire broke out and a neighbor warned her of the danger. Luckily, Marin was able to escape with her dogs before a majority of her home was destroyed. Marin and Falin are working with their insurance company to figure out a solution for lodging. However, they are in immediate need for clothing, food for themselves and their pets, and short-term shelter.
Please consider donating to our friends. They are deserving people with limited means of their own. Anything will help and would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your consideration!
