Marine Veteran, Father of 5 battered & assaulted

Donation protected
Family, friends and empathetic strangers, I come to you from a very humble place as I have experienced a traumatic event that has had an enormous impact on my life.

Last Friday, 8 days ago on 12/8 after putting up Christmas lights, I tucked my wife and kids in and went outside for fresh air through skateboarding. I left my house
at 10:30 and was attacked by at least 3 people. I tried to de-escalate the situation, but the intention was full of malice. They ended up taking my board and beating me repeatedly on the head, face, back, and ribs for approximately 10 minutes. I fought off the attackers as onlookers and neighbors shouted and pleaded for the attack to stop. I showed restraint and my intention is never to harm, but unfortunately this mentality was preyed on. The attackers showed no remorse for their actions, using my skateboard, bottles, and other objects to ensue blunt force trauma to my skull, ribs, shoulders, arms, and all over my back.

It was energetically one of the ugliest places I’ve ever been.
Adrenaline allowed me to defend myself and take cover at the Don Diego VFW. I’m grateful for my service connection, and being a Marine Veteran. They contacted the police and paramedics and I was taken to UCSD Trauma Center.

The past eight days have been an eye opener for the amount of challenges and the uphill battle that I’m set to face. I’ve always fought the dark with light, but mentally and emotionally this is weighing very heavy on my heart.
I am a physical & emotional empath myself, I received my Certification in Massage Therapy in April and have been growing my business slowly since then. The intention behind my work is full of love and I feel truly betrayed that this happened to me on the street that I plan to have my own practice on.

My heads been throbbing for a week, I don’t sleep. Mentally and emotionally, I feel support from family and I also reached out to the Veterans Crisis Line and I commend them highly. My arms, hand, and legs are all cut and scabbed up, on the surface. It’s not even sanitary to work on someone, I’ve had to cancel my appointments for the remainder of the year. so I’m going to my follow ups, everyday my body is in a different form of pain and we’re trying to figure things out.

I’m reaching out to you for help as I take on the physical, emotional, and financial burden that comes with this traumatic event.

Every contribution, monetary or energetic will make a significant impact on my road to recovery and help my family.

My purpose to bring attention to this horrific behavior is clear. Growth is an uncomfortable subject, I’m healing and will make it my mission while recovering to continue to push positive light and bring awareness to this sort of violence.

I am grateful to be alive, Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your network. Thank you for your time and concern.
