Thanks so much for stopping by! If you don't know me, my name is Kassidy Ross and I currently reside in Albuquerque, NM. I've lived here basically my whole life; hard to imagine life without green chile and the balloon fiesta. Haha! To give you a little more background, I love Jesus Christ and have been walking with Him for almost seven years now. He has rocked my world in some beautiful ways...some painful, but ALL of them beautiful. In this upcoming year, He is taking me on our biggest adventure yet!
In January of 2019, I will be heading to Tauranga, New Zealand to take part in a Discipleship Training School through Marine Reach, which is a ministry of YWAM (Youth With A Mission). YWAM has a heart for challenging followers of Jesus to grow closer to the Lord and to prepare them to go on mission for the sake of the Gospel. In this DTS, the first three months will consist of a lecture phase, where I will take classes to learn more about God, the Gospel, and how to evangelize and disciple others. The last two months will consist of an outreach phase, where I will be sent to another country to apply all that I will have learned (location is TBD; I will find out a few weeks after arriving in New Zealand).
Had you told me a couple of years ago that I would EVER have any interest in doing this, I would have looked at you like you were crazy. But, over the past couple of years, God has grown in me a heart for missions. I went on my first mission trip in 2016 to the Middle East and fell in love with the whole concept of integrating with a new culture, fostering relationships, and ultimately growing in the love of God and seeking to be used by Him as an ambassador of reconciliation. That is what He calls His people; ambassadors of reconciliation, who get to go out into the world to proclaim His heart of mercy, redemption, justice, and love that He has shown us through His Son.
As you can imagine, there are a lot of logistics to work out, which is okay; God is a faithful provider and I have the utmost confidence that He is able to make a way for us to go where He has called us! If you do feel led to help, here are some of my needs:

Total Cost: $8800 USD
Breakdown:
Flight: Roughly $2000
Total inclusive cost of DTS: $6800 USD. This will cover all of my food, lodging, classes, as well as my flights/visas for the outreach portion.
If you are not in a place to offer financial support, that is completely okay! Above all, I need your prayers. Prayers for my heart, mind and body as I prepare for this trip. Prayers for the Marine Reach team and all of my fellow missionaries who will be on this journey with me. And prayers for the people that we will meet. Prayers that they would see Christ in us, and give their lives to Him, because "Whoever has the Son, has life; whoever does not have God's Son does not have life." 1 John 5:12.
